About itrillion.com

An independent educational publication about the biggest numbers in finance.

What we do

itrillion.com tracks the trillion-dollar club — every company worth over $1 trillion — maps the milestones from Apple's first trillion in 2018, and builds visualizations and explainers that make twelve zeros comprehensible. We maintain free tools: a large-number converter, a divide-a-trillion calculator, a compound growth calculator, and more on our tools page. We also publish long-form guides on valuation, scale, and market history.

Who runs itrillion.com

itrillion.com is an independent educational publication run by a small research desk. We're writers and researchers who got tired of financial media throwing around trillion-dollar figures without ever anchoring them — so we built the reference we wanted to read. We're not a brokerage, not an advisory firm, and not affiliated with any company we cover. Editorial decisions are made by the research desk alone, under our published editorial standards.

How our data is maintained

Market capitalizations and net-worth figures on this site are approximate, compiled from public market data and reputable financial reporting (including Forbes and Bloomberg billionaire rankings), and labeled with their date — currently October 2026. We round aggressively (usually to the nearest $100B for companies, $10B for fortunes) because false precision is worse than honest rounding.

We deliberately do not publish real-time quotes. Live data goes stale in seconds and invites misuse; dated, approximate figures with a clear methodology are more honest for an educational publication. Every data page carries its "as of" date and a methodology note explaining exactly what the numbers are and aren't.

What we don't do

How we make money

itrillion.com is supported by advertising and affiliate partnerships, disclosed on every relevant page per our affiliate disclosure. If we recommend a book, it's because the research desk genuinely recommends it — partners cannot pay for placement in our tracker, timeline, or guides.

Our standards

We publish under written editorial standards: no invented figures, no cherry-picked timeframes, no predictions dressed as analysis. Approximate numbers are labeled approximate. Dated numbers carry their dates. When we're wrong, we say so and fix it — see the corrections policy.
